Daytona Beach Drive-In Christian Church

In 2021, the Daytona Beach Drive-in Christian Church started a recovery ministry. The organizing group has performed community assessments, met with community organizations and learned what gaps there are in Daytona Beach supporting underserved populations. This grant funding will be used to begin a program that will integrate the 50+ Drive-In Church congregation with the Daytona Beach 50+ community.

The primary goal of this project is to bring the entire Daytona Beach 50+ population together to work to end systemic racism and socioeconomic inequality in the area. Another goal is to open a Recovery Café. The Recovery Café model seeks to create communities of belonging.
