First Christian Church, Greenville

First Christian Church, Greenville, South Carolina invites everyone, regardless of race, gender, or religious background and without conditions or expectations, to worship God through individual and congregational activities including weekly communion. It is their desire to inspire spiritual growth and friendship among those who come to their church and to serve the community and the world. The congregation aspires to help each other to be biblically informed, globally aware, and sensitive to God, and others.

This project will reach out to senior adults and children with the intent of building relationships that create community through feeding our bodies, our minds, and our spirits. It will bring together senior members of FCC and children at Lake Forest Elementary and Carolina Crossing apartment complex, and other senior adults in the neighborhood.

A safe space for growth and good health (physical/mental/spiritual) will be offered monthly and a free warm meal.  Meals will create an opportunity for table fellowship and a way to begin building relationships. After the meal, participants will share in a facilitated session designed to feed them in other ways. Sessions include topics like yoga, balance exercises, mental health awareness/education, and so much more.
