Mission Behind Bars & Beyond

Louisville, KY—Mission Behind Bars and Beyond is a non-profit faith-based organization providing community based mentoring programs for those released from prison and returning to communities in Kentucky.  In conjunction with a Disciples of Christ congregation, New Life in Christ Christian Church, which is located in a women’s halfway house, we minister to those incarcerated, train outside volunteers to form Nurture, Support and Accountability Groups (NSAG) and connect returning citizens with a NSAG which will then walk alongside each person for six months to a year to equip them for a successful re-entry into the community to which they are returning.
