Getting to Know Rae
Why do you feel “called to care” about Disciples health and social service ministry?
I feel called to care alongside the Disciples health and social service ministry because caring is in my DNA. I come from a lineage of nurturers, from healthcare to education to ministry. I now get to lean more fully into that care, by way of assisting young adults in their journey forward, from a holistic perspective.
Who is a hero of yours, and why?
A hero of mine is my sister. Her unwavering faith, passion for sustaining the vitality of maternal-child health, and the way she parents my amazing nieces is bar none.
If I tried to find you in a supermarket, what aisle would you be in?
If you tried to find me in the supermarket, I’d be in the produce section. Give me all the fruits and veggies. You’d also find me in the spice/seasoning section so that I can be sure whatever I make with those fruits and veggies will be good!
