Why did you say yes to joining NBA’s Board of Trustees?

I love the mission and vision of NBA and want to support it however I can. I feel strongly that the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) through the work of NBA can create a network of communities that offer compassion and care to a world that desperately needs it. As a clinician and a leader in healthcare I want to empower and equip others in the health and social service arena to “be the change.”

What does NBA’s vision mean to you?

Creating communities of compassion and care means to me that as Christians, we are called to create the Beloved Community here on earth and that is what I believe NBA seeks to do. Community begins from a foundation of compassion and care for neighbor, and I love how the NBA uses these tenants to guide our feet as we seek to create those communities in our world today.
