How We Work

NBA accompanies entrepreneurs in the growth, impact, and sustainability of innovative faith-rooted social enterprises. To established organizations, we offer supports such as coaching, executive search consulting, accounting, and networking opportunities.

We partner with Disciples-affiliated organizations in the shared work of creating compassion, healing, and justice for all of humanity. Our hope is to inspire and invite people of faith into activism and advocacy for communities that are often overlooked and underserved.

NBA offers education, companionship, inspiration, and resources to strengthen Disciples leaders including clergy, chaplains, social entrepreneurs, community organizers, nonprofit administrators, and young adults committed to justice work. We support the growth of and care for leaders by offering Peer Learning & Wellness Groups, continuing education, mental health and wellness tools, and more.

Our hope is to and invite people of faith into activism and advocacy for communities that are often overlooked and underserved. NBA partners with Disciples leaders in the shared work of creating compassion, healing, and justice for all.

NBA nurtures community engagement strategies with Disciples health and social service ministries to transform the root causes of social injustice. We host peer learning and wellness groups for those fighting injustices, understanding that creating space for supportive care is an act of resistance. We educate and advocate on issues related to mass incarceration, lifting up the unjust and disproportionate ways communities of color are affected. We support emerging leaders responding to local justice issues through collaborative partnerships and best practices in community organizing. We share resources on how congregations and individual Disciples can support social justice movements happening inside and outside the life of the church.
