Christian Services for Children in Alabama

The mission of Christian Services for Children in Alabama is to show the love of Christ by providing counseling and other related services to children and their families. Our first priority is to keep families together by providing support to families at risk of having a child removed from their home. Unfortunately, sometimes children need to be removed from the home to ensure their well-being. We therefore recruit and train adults to provide therapeutic foster care to children who have experienced various types of abuse and neglect. We place children in those homes and provide comprehensive support to ensure a safe and loving out-of-home experience. When children have been removed from a home, we work with families to make needed changes in the home to allow for family reunification.

Providing opportunities​ for youth to explore educational and occupational paths post-high school. ​

Often, foster children who move during the school year struggle academically and fall behind their peers. This project seeks to combat that, CSCA will offer tutors and afterschool materials to assist foster youth who are transitioning in and out of different school systems.
