A clear vision, mission, and core values animate and focus the life of a not-for-profit ministry. A vision calls the ministry forward and inspires the work, even when the going gets hard. A well-crafted mission tells the organization and its constituents “this is of us,” giving clarity in making fundamental decisions. Core values guide day-to-day behavior within the organization and ensure that work done in the community and with partners is done with integrity and consistency.
