A Letter
We met as strangers. We left orientation liking each other. We lived for a month thinking we are with crazy and weird people. Now we are planning our futures together. These four sentences summarize my time well spent with the two of you.
We made many good memories and, thanks to technology, we are able to capture some of them: our stroll along Golden Gate Bridge; our hike, climb, bike, and walk to restricted areas; our first ocean adventure together in what we call a “nude beach”; our adorable Christmas photo; our climb to the Joshua Tree National Park sign to take a picture; our hike at Joshua Tree National Park; our trip to Arizona to watch the USWNT’s Victory Tour—to name a few. I know we will make more memories together.
The community we have built and are building together has grown into me. If there will come a day or a time when we will act like strangers again, let us sit and remember all the fond memories we made together. Let us remember how, in 10 months, we became a family.
