I Live Amongst Giants
I live amongst giants,
the world changers.
I observe them from within, and I dare to ask,
“Where is my part in all of this?”
“Who am I in the midst of this Kingdom that is at hand?”
A man, nay a God walked this earth long before I was a thought.
He made unspeakable claims, did awesome things.
“What plans did this God have for these world changers?”
“What plans did this God have for me?”
The world changers have exited their infancy,
they stand in the gap.
They have their biases, but they also have a collection of rare desires.
Humility. They’re ready to be wrong.
Justice. They’re ready to see things made right.
Simplicity. They’re ready to live with less.
Service. They carry their cross daily.
I don’t agree with all of them,
but I do respect them.
I hear them.
I commend them for their efforts.
I can’t wait to see what they’ll do this year,
and in the years to come.
I live amongst giants,
the world changers.
