NBA Launches Refreshed Website

Spring and Easter greetings, NBA friends! I’m excited to share some good news. The NBA has launched a new and refreshed website!

On the one hand, our site still has a similar look and feel to how you have known us. And, on the other hand (with some clapping involved), we hope you experience our refreshed website as easier to navigate, discover, and to find information that you are looking for. Our new platform also makes it easier for our staff to manage and maintain the site while also allowing us to incorporate a few improvements to enhance your user experience, whether you are viewing the webpages through a mobile phone, tablet or laptop device.

One area you’ll see some changes is through improving the accessibility of the website over the previous version. We have updated page headers where text appeared over an image to a solid background for easier reading. Additionally, text has been modified for improved visibility, and we have added a Google Translate plug-in that allows users to translate the site into multiple languages. We are also working to add alt-text to images on the site to provided context about the image’s purpose to visually impaired users.

We have also made it easier to find information about NBA’s mission, program areas, partner ministries and organizations and upcoming events on the website by introducing some new navigation tools. A search bar has been added that allows users to search by keyword or phrase. We’ve also built a new, expanded menu displaying the various pages of our program areas and inserted a side tab menu of options is now available on our program areas to help find out information about that program area with fewer clicks. And our events page has been refined to enhance the way one can view upcoming NBA events.
