NBA Welcomes New Health and Social Service Partner Program Coordinator
The National Benevolent Association welcomes Jerell DeCaille as our new Health and Social Service (HSS) Partner Program Coordinator.
Based in St. Louis, Missouri, DeCaille joins NBA from St. Louis University where he served as a graduate research assistant. In this newly created part-time role, he will coordinate and manage organizational and leadership development programming for NBA, provide support for NBA’s grant program, and help amplify the stories of our partners.
Since our founding, partnerships have been crucial to NBA’s success. NBA has connected Disciples health and social service ministries with individuals, communities, churches, and other organizations empowering them to learn, collaborate, and grow stronger together.
As the HSS general ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) we accompany Disciples-related HSS ministries, serving as a catalyst for advocacy, education, and the support of innovative approaches to addressing the root causes of social justice issues. We affirm by partnering with these ministries, that we have what we need to create purposeful change with individuals and communities.
DeCaille joined the team at the beginning of June. Some of his first tasks include getting introduced to NBA’s historic HSS partners, developing new communication channels with partners, and working with NBA’s program team to evaluate our current resources and support offerings.
“NBA has a number of ideas and strategies for deepening our support and walk with HSS partners, yet our capacity for implementation was limited. We are excited to fill this new position and welcome Jerell to assist us in this endeavor,” says Monica Wedlock Kilpatrick, NBA’s VP of Organizational & Leadership Development. “Jerell brings a particular interest and skillset in research and evaluation that we believe will benefit NBA greatly in how we gather information and understanding of the needs and hopes of our HSS partners, plan and implement programmatic efforts, and measure our success in supporting partners ongoing. Jerell brings a level of organization, project management, collaboration, and curiosity that will work well in this position.”
